I´ve met the shepherd a year ago. Not knowing then that he would keep me busy for another year.I was stuck in between admiration and fascination for his lifestyle which he choose ( I guess there would be easier jobs then travelling around austria all year long with 1200 sheep) and some kind of not really disgust but some kind of uneasieness when it came to the bloodier sides of a shepherds life.
I decided to portrait him and his helpers during one year not leaving out anything and showing everything as it is without trying to judge.
